You Can Now Eat in the Library at Lunch!

Library lunch room!
For the first time ever, it is now possible to eat in the library at lunch!  Just come to the library before lunch and get a lunch pass for that day.  At lunch bring your sack lunch or get hot lunch and come to the library with your food.  Return your pass and eat in the back.  Socialize, read, do your homework and have fun!  Just make sure you clean up afterwards!

Please Help Our Library Buy Books!

http://www.donorschoose.org/project/our-students-need-stimulating-new-books/1685132/?rf=link-siteshare-2015-09-account_projects_teacher-teacher_1987059&challengeid=317751

Our book budget was cut by 26% this year, and 72% over the last six years, so we have very little money to buy new books anymore.  But you can help us by donating to Donor's Choose!  I have a grant for $1500 that needs to be funded so we can buy the books on the list!  You may donate as much or as little as you want, and if you donate before September 24th and use the promo code SPARK at check out your donation will be matched!  Please check out our grant here.

The Library Is Open for Lunch!

The first thing to do when you get to the library is sign in!

Starting today the library is open for lunch.  After you finish eating in the lunch room, grab your friends and come down to the library!

Remember to sign in at the circulation desk and leave your food and drinks on the table by the door.  Then go engage in one of these great activities:
  • Reading
  • Homework
  • Talking to friends
  • Playing games or cards
  • Working on a puzzle
  • Building something with the Legos
  • Using the computers (half are for homework, half are for games)
  • Playing Wii on Monday, Wednesday and Friday
  • Answering the Question of the Day

This year the non-fiction section is going to be the quiet area of the library.  If you want to talk and play games, please sit in the fiction or reference areas.

Also this year the computers are divided into homework computers (on the non-fiction side of the library) and gaming computers (on the fiction side of the library).  Please respect others and sit in the right area and share the computers.

Lunch is over!
