Battle of the Books

Battle of the Books will start on Tuesday, October 9th.  We will meet during lunch in the ISS room in the library.  Bring your lunch and prepare to have some fun!  You can find the book list here.  The permission slip needs to be turned in by October 9th.  Don't worry if you don't have a team already, many students don't, and it's a great way to make new friends!  Just start reading, and show up on the ninth!

ID Cards Are Here!

Don't lose it because it is very useful in the library!
  1. Have us sign the back and it is a permanent lunch pass to the library!  It won't work if it's not on you though!
  2. Use the BIG 14 digit number on the bottom to create an account in our online catalog.  Once you have an account you can renew overdue books, put items on hold, and write book reviews!
  3. And of course, you can check out books with it!

New Databases in Digital Pipeline

Digital Pipeline has some new databases this year!  BrainPop, a very popular site, is now free to all Alaskans!  In addition, Teen Health and Wellness is also accessible to everyone.  Mango Languages, which was introduced last spring, has 46 languages you can learn online.  It will also translate from one language into another.  Finally, there is an oldie but a goodie, don't forget to use Live Homework Help when you need help with your homework, and there is no one else around to assist!  If you need passwords, check page 58 of your planner, or come by the library!
