New Books!

We just got a huge order of new books!  12 boxes!  They fill six whole shelves on this cart (plus half a shelf on the back--20 books).  So, how many books are on this cart?  How much do you think they cost?  Guess in the comments below.  The closest guess to each question gets a treat!

  2. i'm also guessing somewhere near 100. you have 4 half-carts i'm thinking, so 80 books. and another half-cart, so 100 books. ;D they probably cost like somewhere around $2,000.00. Each book probably costs about $20.00, because they're mostly hard-back. twenty multiplied by 100 is 2,000!! voila! -Maddie

  3. Both of you need to guess again. And higher. I have two half carts (what you see pictured), plus another 20 books on the back of one of them--about half a shelf. So how many books are on 6.5 shelves of books?

  6. Very warm! Now come up with an average cost of books! Hint: there are a bunch of reference books on the cart.

  8. $50 is a much more reasonable price for reference books. Hardcovers are about $20, paperbacks about $10, and then there are a few DVD's and audio books. And you're still low, but getting closer!

  9. I think There are 250 books on the carts, so I think they cost around $7500 total.
